Hillcrest Festival of Fine Arts Feb. 20-22, 2015

Fancy Pants for Plants will be on fire—at Hillcrest this weekend.  You can glaze your own, we’ll fire them on the spot, and you can take your own creation home with you! Experience the excitement of raku firsthand. Succulents for your Fancy Pants for Plants will be given away free as long as they last. …

New Work

I’m experimenting with adding semi-precious stones to my ceramics – on the vessels themselves.   Here are some of the first pieces

Thank you’s to Hillcrest!

This bowl was part of our demonstration on Saturday at Hillcrest Festival of Fine Arts.   The image on the right is a partial view of my large patio table & chairs, saggar fired.

AMOCA Biennial – Opening is August 10th from 6 to 9 PM.

The American Museum of Ceramic Art (AMOCA) in Pomona, CA is having a new exhibition beginning August 10th, 2013, called the AMOCA Biennial. I am very honored to have this raku box juried into the exhibition.

This is one of my new projects.  I match the plants to the pots. Sometimes they complain and I have to replant them!

The Arboreteum Show

The show at the Arboretum last weekend was lots of fun.  I was in the very good company of Lynn Hendricks and Betsy Miller.  My newest pieces, whimsical Raku houses and pets, good for putting in outdoor planters or as sculptural pieces, were well received.
